The Science of getting 2 High
After a sold out Wanaka show last year, Jonathan Falconer is back! The science of Getting 2 High is a show hosted by the self-identified World's Dumbest Doctor Jonathan Falconer that seamlessly blends stand-up comedy with intriguing insights from the field of neuropharmacology. The new show gets a bit more raw and personal, with a look at the science behind bad trips with personal anecdotes on how to embrace or avoid them.The Science of Getting 2 High combines the fun of stand-up comedy with the captivating neuroscience of altered states and drug dependence, illuminating our susceptibility to negative experiences with drugs and how to minimize risks with drug use.

LADI 6 - Le Vā Album Release Tour - Rhyme X Reason
Ladi6 returns with Le Vā – her long-awaited new album and most personal project to date. Years in the making, Le Vā represents a creative reinvention and a recalibration of the signature wavey electronic soul sound she’s known for. It also marks a profound chapter of personal growth and healing.
To celebrate the album, Ladi6 will embark on the Le Vā Album Tour – a series of live shows that will bring the new project to life while revisiting iconic songs from her back catalogue. This tour is infused with gratitude – a thank you to the loyal community that has walked alongside her journey for over two decades. “We’ve curated a show that honours where we’ve come from and where we’re headed. It’s our way of saying thank you to everyone who has held us up through all the seasons.”

Book Launch - "Show you're working out." a poetry book by Liz Breslin
liz breslin is a queer, tangata Tiriti writer, editor, performer and facilitator of Polish, Irish and English descent. show you’re working out is their third poem collection, with poems about scissors, Pilates, reality tv, colonisation, composting the patriarchy, Sharon from the Speights ads, women on bicycles, sharks, viral dresses and more. liz lived for almost 20 years near Wānaka and she is stoked to be back at Rhyme x Reason to launch this book, after launching Alzheimer’s and a spoon here in 2017, and in bed with the feminists in 2021.
