At Rhyme X Reason we like to try and do a little bit of everything, as long as it is top quality and tastes amazing. In the taproom portion of the brewery we have 14 taps which are ever changing with nothing but good sh*t!
We want to make sure our locals are looked after however, so we made sure to keep on a select few, that we like to call the "core range".

  • BRUTAL WIPEOUT - west coast Brut IPA 5.6%

    We busted out the Brut enzyme to bring you an incredibly dry IPA loaded with an afterparty of late addition hops with classic tropical flavours of passionfruit, citrus pine and zingy zest.

  • FRESH LINES - South Island Hazy 4.2%

    A fruity hazy packed with big hop flavours of apricot, mango, peach and nectarine.

    Brewed with NZ south Island grown barley, wheat and hops for our friends at Cardrona Alpine Resort.

  • JOY RIDER - PALE ALE 5.2%

    Our local crowd favourite. An approachable APA with English Style Malts supporting classic American Hops. World Famous in Wanaka.


    Hops: Cascade, Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe.

  • SLUT DRAGON - Guava Pineapple Sour 4.5%

    Eons ago it all started with 69 kilos of fruit and a tarty yet supple slipper. It wasn't lively enough until the Juloy pineapple and gropey guava got freaky.

  • HAPPY PILS - PILSNER 5.2%

    Brewed true to style, a crisp and refreshing drop that yields high drinkability, especially any time of any day. 

    Hops: Czech Saaz.

    The Legend on the label of this beer almost jumped out of her signature Carhartts and shouted, “FRUITY PATOOTIE!” On trying this beer. Well Jessy, we agree, this one ticks all the boxes.
